Diane’s Doll Shoppe

 I have been a lifelong doll collector from a very early age. A native New Yorker (with accent to prove it), I had the opportunity to live near and visit all the doll companies in the NY Toy District on 25thSt. where Mattel, Effanbee, Ashton Drake (and much more) originated and had all their toys and dolls on display. There were two toy buildings with different companies on every floor. The side streets around the Toy District had the very best and most interesting individual doll stores that sold wholesale and retail. 

 In 1995, after visiting the NY Toy Fair at the Javits Center, I discovered a world of dolls all over again. I built several relationships with many European and American artists and companies from Toy Fair and to this day, I still hold these special relationships. I officially opened my doll shoppe in Byram/Greenwich, CT and filled the store with many German, Italian, and Danish one-of-a-kinds, Zwergnase, Himstedt, Goetz, Tonner, R.J. Wright, and Kish just to name a few.

 I now sell on-line through my website, www.dianesdollshoppe.com, Ruby Lane, Ebay and by appointment. I’m also in DOLLS Magazine, Doll News and show at many interesting Doll Shows throughout the United States including the 5-day UFDC convention. I am a proud member of two UFDC Doll Club in Ct. and NY and a Patron of NIADA and ODACA.
